Far East Freedom Youth League

Advocating independence, democracy, and freedom for nations under Chinese occupation.

Who Are We

Young voices for self-determination

FEFYL connects advocates from occupied nations and diaspora communities, making the case for independence, cultural survival, and democratic accountability.

Who Are We

We are Far East Freedom Youth League (FEFYL), a North America-based organization advocating the independence of nations now occupied by China, which are incorrectly referred to as provinces.

We seek to end China's occupation of our countries and, with our independences, restore a peaceful international community in East Asia.

Occupation is Not Identity

The Far East Freedom Youth League rejects Chineseism, which collapses diverse Far East national cultures into a single imperial story. This map presents the real ethnic geography of the Far Eastern continent.

Far-East Map

China is the real threat to cultures in the Far East

China has stolen and appropriated the cultures of Hongkongers, Tibetans, and Uyghurs while spreading the false claim of "5000 years of unity." True freedom means restoring our cultural autonomy, political independence, and national dignity.

Occupation is Not Identity

"Chinese culture" is often used by Chinese officials as propaganda, using peoples, cultures, and histories that do not belong to China to attract international support and serve China's own political goals. The League's map marks the nations and regions whose identities should not be erased by an imperial story.

Why Independence

Why Independence?

Independence is the restoration of nations, histories, and rights that were taken by conquest and authoritarian rule.

Why do we demand independence from China?

We were independent until Chinese Nationalists and Communists took it away. Our sovereignty traces back to the 1911 Xinhai Revolution, when nations under the Qing empire declared independence and joined the Republic of China with the right to secede.

The communist takeover of 1927 (the Northern Expedition launched by the Soviet-backed puppet Kuomintang and the Communist Party) destroyed this multinational freedom and replaced voluntary union with coercive rule.

Why must China fall?

China, enriched by "reform and opening," did not embrace freedom and democracy. Instead, it increased its destructive power against the world: persecuting religion, violating human rights, carrying out the Uyghur genocide, backing rogue states internationally, corrupting Western politics with money, inciting racial violence, stealing technology, and deliberately spreading COVID-19 and other deadly viruses along with countless lies.

The democracy question

The League argues that an authoritarian empire cannot become a true democracy while it denies nations the right to decide their own futures.
